Expert Piano, Musicianship, and Music Theory Instruction for
all ages and levels with

Carol offers one-to-one piano lessons tailored to each student’s age, ability, and goals. Choose the lesson type that best suits your needs.
Suitable for most beginners aged 6+, including adults, and generally recommended for the first couple of years of learning. Lessons develop all the essential skills of piano playing, including healthy technique, music reading and repertoire, aural skills and music theory, typically up to Grade 2 level.
At Grades 3–5, repertoire becomes longer, technique more demanding and broader musical understanding increasingly important. A 45-minute lesson allows enough time each week to develop these areas alongside aural skills, music theory and musicianship.
At Grade 6 level and above, repertoire, technique and musicianship become increasingly advanced. A 60-minute lesson provides the time needed to work in greater depth on these areas, while developing confident, well-rounded musicianship.
This shorter option may suit very young beginners who would benefit from a gentle introduction to piano lessons during their first term. It can also be booked occasionally for a focused theory session or a short rehearsal before a performance.
An enquiring beginner who enjoys taking things further, or a keen student around Grade 2–3 level, may benefit from the extra ten minutes. This allows more time to explore repertoire and technique in greater depth, alongside supporting skills such as aural, sight-reading and creativity.
Families with two or more students receiving regular weekly lessons receive a 7.5% discount on lesson fees.
